About Audrey
In 20 words or less, what is the best thing about being part of this department?
The best thing about being a part of the philosophy department is that you get to learn more about yourself, your beliefs, the part you play in the world.
What is your advice to first years and sophomores about getting connected to this department?
Just give a philosophy class a try! I promise it will be beneficial no matter what your major or future career aspirations are.
What is the most valuable thing you’ve learned at K?
The most valuable thing I learned at K is that the more you learn the more questions arise that make you realize how much more you have left to learn.
What has been your favorite class at K? Why?
My favorite class at K has been Ethics with Max Cherem. This class helped me solidify what I believe is right and wrong and the crucial role of self-development in morality.
How have you taken advantage of the open curriculum or experienced breadth in your education?
Freshman year I went out of my comfort zone and tried a French class. I discovered a love for the language and culture I don’t think I would have found if I didn’t have access to an open curriculum.
What experiential education opportunities have you participated in?
I went on study abroad in Lyon, France, and it was a truly formative experience. I learned about my own ability to problem solve and be adaptable.
What is your SIP?
I am doing a French translation SIP.
What are your career aspirations/next steps after K?
I am going to teach English in France for a year then apply for law school. I want to be an immigration lawyer.
What is a random fun fact about you?
I have pet chickens! Please ask me about them!
